Coconut Oil Produced

Coconut Oil produced using the natural dried coconuts ( Copra) from farm maintained by natural farmer “Kowsalya”. She is retired government high school teacher. Along with her son she takes care of the farm. It is a 8 acer plot with Coconut as the main crop with intercropping as Arecanut, banana and few fruit plants. Selected Completely Matured coconuts are stacked in a den for 13 ~ 14 months for natural formation of Copra.
Best Practices followed at farm
Water Management: Entire farm has trench system, water is drained through these trenches to the pond. Farm is irrigated from the pond water.
Waste Management: Through out the year all farm waste including coconut husk are filled into the trenches and left to decompose. Moisture is maintained in trenches to facilitate the waste decomposition.
Mulching: Coconut tree waste are spread across the tree and Brush cutter used for weeding and left as Natural mulch.
Two times a year farm is provided with Jeevamrutha prepared at the farm.
